- NIUSA will be assisting the Tucson;
Arizona based UMC on a three country hiring trip. Interviews for nurses
based in the Philippines will be held the week of October 23rd
in Manila. Strong nurse candidates will be prescreened by Helen Abuzo and
Meladee Stankus and then approved for presentation and interview by the
UMC nurse hiring team of Jayne M. Wilson, RN Nurse Recruiter and Sharon
Foster, RN Nurse Manager. NIUSA works with two POEA agencies to assist
NIUSA and our US employers with Philippines based nurses. However, all
nurses are pre-screened by NIUSA nurse directors prior to any appointment
with the employers. Interested nurse candidates should first send their

- NIUSA will then depart for Singapore and
India, where additional interviews of nurse candidates will be conducted.
Meladee and Jayne will travel will our Indian nurse agency to the cities
of Delhi and Cochin for nurse interviews and hiring. India interviews
will take place 11/3 to 11/8. Nurses who would like to have an interview

- Singapore nurses can also send their
resumes for review to Meladee. UMC will be in Singapore for two days and
will meet with our previous nurse hires and entertain questions and
application from any other nurse candidates. Nurses in Singapore should
also send their resume to Meladee.

- The hiring criteria for UMC is as
follows:
- Nurses who have passed some or
all of the US exams required for the filing of the immigrant visa.
- Nurses who are currently
employed or volunteering in nursing and in particular, in medical/
surgical, cardiac, intensive care emergency department.
- UMC has a full and robust benefit program
as well as a Family Sponsorship Loan Program, for those foreign nurses who
are wanting to bring their eligible family members to the USA with them
and on their own green card. UMC provides the international nurse with
the same pay and benefits as the US nurse with the same qualifications and
years of experience.
